Medium

Isaac is crying every nite several times after 1am for me and only wants me to hug him to sleep. My backache and sleepless nights are really torturing me.

I decided to bring him to see a medium aka "Dang ki" after seeking advice from peng's friend Huiling. She also brought her son to a medium when he was younger like isaac's age. We went to see Huiling's medium at Yishun. It's really a long trip from my hse. We left home at 6.15pm yesterday, took a cab to tiong bahru mrt coz it's raining very heavily and mrt to yishun. Isaac very notty and though this kind lady gave up her seat to isaac, he just doesn't want to be seated. So i told the lady it's alrite she can hv the seat. It's peak hr and really very crowded. We reached the temple ard 7.30pm. The ritual start at 8pm so we waited.

There was a queue starting before 8pm. Luckily jason called up in the morning to get a queue. Ours was no.2. The lady said all children will go ahead 1st. It's our turn and we told the "translator" what was isaac's problems like he always wake up and cry in the middle of the night, his poor appetite and bad temper. The medium replied in a foreign language and the translator said place isaac down for the medium to touch him. He felt isaac's stomach, observed his mouth and teeth, placed him up and felt his back and lastly his head. After that, the medium told me to carry out coz he was crying non-stop. I guessed he's hungry so i make him milk.

After jason came out, he said the medium said isaac had kena shocked and his poor appetite was due to wind in his stomach. He told jason isaac is like tat is due to his character and said "pamper isaac in our hearts". The translator asked jason if he understand what this means. He said we can't pamper or spolit isaac or give in to him every time. Frankly speaking, both jason and i never pamper or spolit isaac and we do hit isaac coz we believed in "Spare the rod and spolit the child". The medium also asked if we wanted to "invite" Kuangyin back to our hse. And he also asked if we wanted isaac to be his godson. Coz jason was a christian, he told the medium that he hv to ask me. We told them we need to consider 1st. I learnt that the god that was in the medium is Kuang Di or known as 關公

We reached home at 9.30pm and isaac fell asleep in the cab on our way back. I called my mum and told her the whole thingy. She said tat not everyone can be Kuang Di's godson and it's fated. Mum also said with isaac's character and temper, it's best if there's a god who can "guard" isaac. There's a ritual to perform to be godson and i'll hv to bring him back to the temple yearly on Kuang Di's birthday. This is the only obligation. I'm still considering whether to let isaac be his godson.
