Hubstation Remote control

Jason exchanged the digital set to a hubstation at nil cost.. The remote control for the hubstation is swee lor! Looks abit like the nokia old model gaming phone.. I still haven't figure out how to use it for recording.. This morning still trying to figure out how to on the set haha

Rashes

Last nite after we bought isaac back from ktv, realised his whole body is full of red rashes... My 1st thot is could it be the tcm medicine which he took this morning? I quickly called up the physican and so damn lucky he's still there. He told me the powder which isaac took is for boosting his appetite and won't cause any allergy reactions. Much relieved to hear that but still worried.. Next thot is it could be the after-fever rashes that isaac kena... So we continued to give isaac the 2nd dose of tcm medicine... Another heart breaking scene.. sigh... Somehow i've got a feeling tat this "forcing medication act" is causing isaac to cry and kept waking up at nite... Jason is so angry coz he's on morning shift which is baring a couple of hrs more.. Isaac's cries can wake up the whole damn estate! Even i'm getting impatient... I just manage to dozed off at 2+ and he starts to cry again... After a few rounds of crying and waking, isaac finally zzz in the sarong..

Woke up this morning super duper tired... Changed isaac's diapers and realised his whole body is covered with more red rashes! I brought him to see the pd. Lucky mum just reached my plc and we went together.. Pd said most probably the rashes is resulted from the fever which will last for another 3-4days time.. He also said isaac had throat infection (which could be the reason for his poor appetite). Was given allergy and throat infection medicine. I told pd about tcm medication and he advised to stop giving the powder med as tat could also be a cause to his rashes.. Like tat i spend another $53 in just 10mins.. sigh...

Isaac at KBOX

This is isaac 2nd time to a ktv... 1st time was when he's 12mths when we brought him to a ktv at Gentings. 1st time wasn't so enjoyable for him coz he's still crawling tat time.. Yest was fun for him but not so fun for us hahaha coz we had to look out for him, like stopping him to dip his hands into the beer mug, munching on the tibits, and grabbing mugs and cups... His fav song is 新窝 by she and 飞轮海. He just can't stop his "ah pek" dancing when the song is played haha

Eu Yan Sang (Yu Ren Sheng) TCM consultation

Isaac's appetite is sooooo poor... Monday nite he had 180ml milk (he can usually drink 280ml) till tues 12pm, he din't eat anything or want any milk at all.. This is really very bad... We decided to bring him to EYS for a consultation. The physician felt isaac's pulse and he said isaac's spleen (脾) and gastric is weak thus resulting in his loss of appetite, frequent stomach wind resulting in bloatness and can't sleep well at nite... I too had a consultation for my weak womb which is causing alot of bai dai... We waited 30mins coz the physician need to retrieve and pound the medicine into powder and then packed into sachets... Not cheap... Consultation plus medicine cost $55+ which is about $7-8 of medicine for a day coz the medicine he gave is for 1week's supply.

After we came home, 1st thing is to feed isaac the med.. It's such a big sachet for isaac and i need to add an amt of water or the mixture will be very sticky.. Taste horrid like the usual chinese herb taste.. It's was heart-wrenching when feeding isaac the med with the syringe... He closed his mouth real tight. I had to press his nose so that he'll breathe frm his mouth and hence i'm able to put the syringe in his opened mouth... After tat, he had a phobia of being pressed down on the bed when i'm trying to feed milk coz he tot he's taking tat medicine again.. Poor boy..

The New Baby Incentive Scheme

Govt improving the bb incentive scheme as announced by PM Lee HL at the ND Rally on 17 Aug 2008.

• Paid maternity leave extended from 12wks to 16wks.. (woo.. shiok!)

• Paid childcare leave extended from 2days to 6days if the child is below seven years of age on or after 1 7 Aug 2008

• New Infant care Leave if the child is below two years of age on or after 17 Aug 2008

This scheme is so attractive but it's announced at the wrong timing for me... sobs sobs.... coz i'll be looking for a job in Nov and with this new implementation, i'm gonna hv a hard time looking for a nice job... Well... wish me luck then

Bought some really nice retro-style bangles at IMM and they are really cheap - all for $4...

1st wash after rebonding

2 days oredi so time to do 1st wash.. I'm very scared once wash liao my hair back to the normal thick and curly old days... But it's still straight and nice! Except being rather dry (coz hair very brittle and weak le after dyed and rebond), the results still gd. Thank god my hardearned savings never gone down the drain...

Renovation - Part (1) - Tiles Selection

Left home early at 11+ to meet khoo for tiles selection. We went LSH at balestier. The shop not very big compared to SBH but they hv very nice tiles! We shortlisted tiles for common toilet wall, flooring, kitchen wall tiles and proceed to SBH for MBR toilet tiles..


This is a mockup bigger version of wat we'll be doing for our MBR. Khoo say the theme would be rustic cum resort feel

Finally did my rebonding at Kimage.. Yippee!

Finally done my rebonding at kimage. A dream came true. 8yrs ago, was "bluffed" to do my rebonding at this hair salon below my block and results were horrid. Hv to admit tat my hair is very thick, coarse n frizzy, matching my big head, i look like wearing afro. I'm always seen with a ponytail or bun, nv a hair let down. So i felt rebonding won't work for my hair type.


Early morning, call up to book an appointment and intend to just hv a hair cut and a colour touchup. After checking with chris tat i can colour and rebond, i decided to give it a try. Normal process took 3hrs, mine took > 5 full hrs! I'm so hungry by the time everything's done. But i'm so satisfied with my new hair (n_n) However, i'm unsure if my hair will remain in this condition after 1st wash.. **keeping fingers crossed**

Naughty Isaac

Isaac's starting to explore and learning different stuffs. This is also the time where he'll do the wrong things very often and annoy me frequently.

1) Climbing the grilles
Realise that he has learn to climb up the door grille and using his left hand, trying to open the door while the other little hand is holding on. "Monkey see, monkey do" He's trying to mimic me opening the door every morning when i brought him to the market. He'll cry and whine for me when he's up. He only now how to climb up and dunno how to come down. Very dangerous. Told him not to do tat (coz i'm really scare he'll fall off and hit his head again) but seems in vain. Might as well teach him how to get down and it works. But still better pay 101% on him from now on.





2) Playing with switches
I'm just so angry when he played with switches. Whenever he play with it, he'll look at me and "ta" on the switches for the fan. I hv already caned him (i caned him real hard) countless times but he just can't learnt his lesson. Funny thing is he'll cry very hard and i can tell this time he'll surely learn but he just forgets the next minute.

Amazon's Book spree

So happy, finally rec'd my packages frm Mayuki, JJS and amazon's spree.

Amazon's having a 4-for-3 book promo now. So i only paid price of 3books instead of 4. Shipping's not tat high but cost ard $10+. It's still cheaper if i bought in sg online. Bought 4 music sound storybooks for isaac. He doesn't seems to enjoy me reading books for him. So hope these sound books will arouse his interests in the books.

Pearl Rice

Bought a pack of pearl rice frm the taiwan food fest at giant vivo some time back. Realised that it only has a shelf life of 9mths and expiring soon in sep. Just a small pack cost $4+, damn ex. Decided to cook chicken rice for isaac. Outcome? Very good except tat i think i added too much hainanese chicken rice paste. I find it very salty oops... Isaac did manage to eat half a bowl. Better than nothing.

1st time cooking such rice and realised you have to soak the rice for 30min before you can cook it. It's initial colour is translucent and after u soak it, it becomes white!
